Bisi bele bath is a one-pot sambar rice from Karnataka state. I have posted my version of the Tamil Nadu style bisi bele bath recipe and also the restaurant-style Sambar sadam recipe. I have tasted Karnataka style bisi bele bhath , also called bisi bele huli annam in my friend’s places and restaurants a few times. Somehow I personally don’t like the flavor of cinnamon and cloves in sambar rice. A few months back when we visited our friend’s house for lunch, she made this Karnataka style Bisi bele bath and I loved it very much. The flavour was very subtle and I really enjoyed it. She shared with me the recipe and finally, I tried it yesterday. It turned out very well and tasted very close to the one we had at her place. The popular Hayagreeva maddi recipe in Jeyashris kitchen was shared by her only. Traditionally they add cloves to the masala and this recipe didn’t have cloves in it. Also, check out
