Very healthy and nutritious broccoli stir fry recipe. This is a very simple recipe and can be made in less than 30 minutes. You can pair this with fried rice, roti, and any South Indian gravy too. I got introduced to broccoli after moving to Singapore. Though it looks like cauliflower, the taste is very different. I have posted a few recipes using broccoli in Jeyashris kitchen. We can add capsicum, green peas, potato, carrot in this broccoli stir fry. You can make an Indian version of broccoli stir fry by adding garam masala and cumin powder to this. Broccoli stir fry
Wash and cut the broccoli into medium sized florets.Soak them in hot water for 8-10 minutes and drain the water.Keep this aside.Chop the onions finely. Chop the capsicum into small cubes.Chop the garlic cloves.In a pan add the oil and add the garlic.
Saute for a minute and add the finely chopped onions to this.Cook till it becomes translucent.
Now add the capsicum to this.Saute for a minute, let this be crunchy.
Add the broccoli florets. Since we put them in hot water, it will be soft.Add salt and pepper to this.Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
If adding peanuts, add roasted peanuts without skin.Pulse this once in a mixie and then add to this.Broccoli stir fry is ready.
You can pair this with simple rice and dal or can have this with roti too.
