Chaat masala is one of the popular spice in Indian cuisine. It is widely used in Indian chaat recipes like Khakra chaat, Chaat sundal Aloo tikki chaat, and so on. I have always been using store-bought powder in all my recipes. I have been thinking to try this recipe at home for a long time. Recently i have posted Homemade Biryani masala recipe. I have also posted Homemade Garam masala recipe in Jeyashris kitchen. While I was looking for a perfect recipe, I suddenly remembered a friend. Her mother in law makes it at home. So I messaged her and she texted me back in a day with the recipe. All the ingredients were so simple and everything was readily available at home. I also googled for the recipe and added 2 extra ingredients in the original recipe she gave. It turned out so flavourful. I added in my fruit chaat and raita and it was very yum. Do give it a try and let me know how it turned.

Homemade Chaat masala

In a pan add all the ingredients.Roast it for 2-3 minutes in a medium flame.Ensure not to burn the ingredients.Switch off the flame

Allow this to cool completely.Grind this into a fine powder in a dry mixie jar.

Store this in a clean dry container.Use it in chaat recipes.
