Green apple  1    Red chili powder 1 – 1 and 1/2 tsp    Roasted methi seed powder | Venthaya podi  2 pinches    Mustard seeds  1/2 tsp    Turmeric powder  1/4 tsp    Asafoetida  2 pinches    Sesame oil 1 and 1/2 tblsp    Salt  as needed 

Method:

Wash and cut the apple into cubes. Add salt,turmeric powder and red chili powder to this. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida and roasted methi seed powder to this. When the mustard splutters add this oil mixture to the green apple. Mix well evenly. If you want you can add few curry leaves into the oil. Green apple pickle is ready. You can serve this with curd rice or sambar rice too.
