You’re probably wondering… what’s Orange Ground Beef? The answer? It’s my super successful attempt at making an easier ground beef version of orange chicken, a popular fast-food Chinese-American dish. It’s basically orange-flavored ground beef and it’s REALLY good. This Asian-inspired dish has a bright, sweet, spicy and citrusy flavor. The sauce is made with fresh orange juice, which reduces into a thick glaze-like sauce that coats the ground beef. There’s also orange zest for extra orange oomph. Yes… having orange oomph is a thing. And this ground beef has it.
I almost always have ground beef in the freezer because it’s just so easy to cook. When you don’t know what to make for dinner… you can always count on burgers or a stir-fry to keep your family happy. My only beef with ground beef is that it can sometimes get boring. That’s when it’s time to get creative. Like, making a dish that’s pretty much always reserved for chicken (or another type of meat)… and trying it with ground beef instead.
