Method:

In a wide bowl add the whole wheat flour and salt. Add water little by little and knead it into a pliable soft dough. Cover and keep it aside for 10 minutes. Divide the dough into equal parts. Make the portions big and not small as we do for rotis.

Dust the rolling board and and roll the roti into a thick and small disc. Apply ghee or oil on the disc.

Close the edges and make it into a whole mass. Dust with some flour.

Roll it into a thick paratha.  Heat a tawa and place the paratha on the tawa.

Cook on both sides and when they are cooking add few drops of oil on both sides. Repeat the same process for rest of the parathas.

Parathas are ready to serve. Serve this with you favorite sabzi. We  had paratha, sabzi and tea for breakfast and replaced tea with Lassi for Dinner. I can say “wow what a comforting meal “

You can  make the either round parathas or square ones or triangle parathas.
